furniture library, well read

In looking for quirky and chic ideas to have in and around my home and shop i have come across many ways to recycle different old items to reuse them in ways that not only are very clever/environmentally sound, but also exquisite to look at. Etsy and blogs on here are smashing ways to find ideas that i can get super excited about and get flustered about which ones to do first. So Could everyone do me a solid and stop being so bloody inspirational? and also help me stop cursing? ha, only kidding as i LOVE it. Both the ideas AND cursing. Sorry mum.

So flowers are the latest addition to my house on a relatively daily frequent and for this i am so very proud. Adding such a fresh colourful and shabby chic viewpoint to my house can only be a good thing, i started thinking about different vases to keep them in and have been keeping my eyes peeled throughout every shop i am in. I came across, on another blog, vases made from books and then further went on to read about a designer called Laura Cahill who has mastered this technique in all its glory and fame. Trawling through car boot sales and charity shops Cahill realised that old books are difficult to recycle due to the glue used on the spines and decided this would be a better idea as a recycling product. Using test tubes inside these vases also made them waterproof and able to behold some charming little flowers aswell as looking so marvelous in its own fame too! she went onto further create fantastic items such as stools and light stands and it has excited me beyond coolness so i thought it best to blog about it. That's it, let anyone who wishes to read this know how uncool i actually am. Fear not i really do not mind,so much so i made me a paper hat shaped like a tosser and i have it on right now. Again, i only jest, or do i?
